Fresh from #au2014 and ready to share even more tips with the PLM 360 Community! In addition to sharing what I know about PLM 360 administration and usage, I attend Autodesk University so I can learn from others as well. It’s often simple “why didn’t I think of that?” tips and best practices that are so valuable. For instance – today’s tip comes from the lab class, PL6361-L Autodesk PLM 360 Administrator Hero: Take Your Tenant Configuration Skills to the Next Level. Follow the link and you can download the course material – a handout and some script templates as well.
By using HTML based email templates, you can make the notifications that are coming from PLM360 look like internal company branded emails. This allows you to customize not only the look, but the exact content of the email and still include information that is linked to the data in PLM 360. Check out pages 26 – 29 for detailed instructions – a huge thanks for Avi Robbins from Porex for writing this up. We use something similar here at Autodesk (I’m sure you’ve seen it when you got your initial ‘Welcome to PLM 360’ email with your tenant logon information or trial follow ups).
If you weren’t able to attend Autodesk University, be sure to check out the website and you can download the course materials from other classes as well. Easy way to find the PLM 360 ones is to filter on the PLM and Data Management Track.
