Feature Friday: Creating Relationships Easily in PLM 360

TGIF! That means it’s time to highlight yet another new feature from our recent release.

Create and Link BOM Items to Parent Items and Revision-Controlled Items to Change Control Items in a Single Task

Until now, to set up the relationship between a new part item in the BOM and its parent item, you had to create the new item, go to the parent item, open the BOM tab, search for the new item, and finally add it. And you had to go through a similar set of tasks to place a new item under change control. With this new release, you can set up links between these items in either direction—from the child item to the parent as well as from the parent to the child—which makes managing the BOM and product lifecycles much quicker and easier to do. Makes you wish other relationships could be managed with such ease!
